Wai Hnin Oo

ME PhD student

I'm a Mechanical Engineering PhD student at UC Merced. I graduated with a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from UC Irvine in 2019, and was a transfer student from Skyline College. During my undergraduate career, I worked hard to balance academic excellence, technical projects, and outreach activities. In this regard, I have received several awards, including the NSF GRFP (Graduate Research Fellowship Program).

Today, as I strive toward my research goals in graduate school, I continue to look out for outreach opportunities where I can use my technical and communication skills to guide and uplift junior students. If you have a particular opportunity that I can help out with, I'd be very happy to hear from you at woo2(at)ucmerced(dot)edu.
